The evening before Holi I decided to do some more preparations after returning from office. There was a small Holi get together in the corporate office which I couldn't join as I am yet not allowed to travel much because of the knee injury. Was feling really sad not to be a part of the event and here technology plays it's role. I enjoyed it virtually on Google Hangout with two more colleagues. All going live for us. Everyone enjoyed a lot with dance, mimicry and singing and my team handled it really well.
Post the "halla-gulla" in the office it was time to have fun in the kitchen. I prepared "Namak-pare" (Salty sticks made with all purpose flour) for the next day. Hubby promised to extent a lot of help but it was limited to come in to the kitchen every now and then to eat half of the plate with an obligation to me that" he is helping me to know how tasty they are". Men I tell you...
This time I tried to make it more healthy by mixing multi grain flour with the all purpose flour in 50:50 proportion with salt, paprika flacks, carom seeds along with a little baking soda. They came out really well so tasty and crisp... everyone who visited appreciated a lot.
You know, I always feel that the real pleasure of cooking is sharing it with others and enjoying it together with the family and friends isn't it? and the munching is still on..... :)
